History

Hello Beautifull!

Rosalyn Womack is an African American fashion designer, embedded within the community, who caters to the full figured woman having created designs for MTV, TLC, local news outlets, and international clientele. As the creative, driving force behind the Honey Bun Boutique and Sewbu2ful brands, Womack’s vision enables women of all shapes and sizes to feel beautiful. She started sewing from home while attending the Fashion Merchandising & Design Program at NC A&T State University. Her home sewn fashions quickly developed into a flourishing home based business aptly named Sew Bu2ful.

In May 2008, the Honey Bun Boutique opened its doors in Downtown Greensboro, NC. Rosalyn has always had an affinity to design for the underserved full figured woman. The Honey Bun Boutique offered a convenient location for both client and designer which created an atmosphere perpetuate the true beauty of a woman. The vibe of the boutique: Be you. Love you! No matter your size...you are welcome... and you are beautiful!

Rosalyn has a BS Fashion Merchandising & Design and a MAED in Elementary Education. A teacher and mother of two, she loves to give back to the community. As a single mom and former teen mother, Womack passionately works with teen mothers and students with disabilities. Pre-prom season, she collects prom and evening gowns to donate to girls with special needs as well as girls in need.

As the orginal Director for the Passion to Purse Micro-enterprise Program at the YWCA,  Rosalyn created a program for women and helped them develop skills to start a micro-enterprise and become financially independent.

In May 2015, Womack re-launched the Rosalyn Womack brand and relocated to a studio in the historic Revolution Mill, as a place to meet with clients, create and teach classes.

The Mission:

Change the world's perception of Beauty, one curve at a time.

The Honey Bun Boutique is a place where ALL women are beautiful because we were all designed by God. He doesn't make mistakes.
